Load and save different subtitle (caption) formats (and consequently, convert by loading one format and saving as another): SubRip (.srt), MicroDVD (different extensions used, sometimes .sub) en SAMI (.smi), plus probably more in the future...

Adjust title starting times and durations per subtitle, or per selected range of subtitles, or for the entire file: move forward or backward in time, stretch and reduce, adjust to different frame rates, auto-adjust based on the desired starting times of 2 different titles...
Insert and delete subtitles (and in combination with the other features, split a single subtitle file in parts, in case the accompanied medium is split up in multiple files).
Play the media (avi, mp3, mpeg...) or any selection with captioning to check the result.
Play the media while the user adjusts position and duration of each title by simply pressing the space bar (or any other key) when it should be shown, and keeping it pressed as long as it should remain visible.
Please note that this is a general multimedia player for playing back AVI files. Different AVI files may be encoded with different "codecs" (compressors and decompressors ; COders and DECoders), so by having an AVI player, it doesn't mean you can play every single AVI file in the world (you'll need to separately download and install the codec for the AVI file as well).
