Note: DVD2AVI hasn't been updated in a while - the development continues with DGMPGDec, and it is recommended that you use DGMPGDec instead.

An easy to use software to converts MPEG-2 streams to AVI - includes the VFAPI plug-in. You might also want to try DGMPGDec, which fixes some faults with DVD2AVI.
